The Classroom Emergency Response Kit (CERK) was developed based upon the premise that when we send our children to school, they will be safe and well taken care of. School preparedness needs to be addressed and is always, the first and last line of defense. Be prepared to survive and assist others! This kit is designed to aid a person(s) from the time an event occurs to the time that emergency personnel arrive and end the situation. The grease pencil can be used to write on windows, indicating to first responders how many people are located inside a room and if any are injured. If an event occurs at night, the luminous tape can adhere to the windows and signal to responders. This kit includes first aid supplies to assist those who may become injured during a situation.
